The highlights’ of
this Spring’s meeting:

Rush Crane and Guenther.
Reports and Policy Papers coming to this fall’s National Convention! – Get a preview of the work
committees have been doing in preparation for our next convention. Any Locals
wanting to pass resolutions they’re sending to
Convention are encouraged to bring them to this Council meeting to give other
Locals opportunity to discuss, suggest changes, and get on board with the
changes you’re trying to make.
NDP - Moe Sihota, BC NDP President,
will be explaining their strategic plan to win government in 2013.
Plus we will have our regular agenda
items, including:
The Bear Pit – The elected Rank & File
Officers from the Western Region will give their report about happenings at the
National Executive Board level and how they might affect you or your Local.
Then the floor is opened to allow delegates to questions and/or provide direction
to your elected representatives.
National Officers Report – Your Regional Officers report on
what is happening in each of the Provinces.
Local Reports – All Locals present give reports
about current situations at each of their worksites. Both the good and the bad.
This gives delegates an opportunity to hear what might be coming their way or a
chance to share experiences or remedies if you’ve already faced similar
issues. Delegates are asked to bring
50 copies of their Local Report for distribution.
Provincial Council meetings are scheduled run from 9:00 to 5:00 Friday
& Saturday, and 9:00 til Noon on Sunday.
Remember, it’s your Council !
We encourage all affiliated Locals to send delegates.
Hope to see many of you there.
